Miss Wardrobe Guidelines

ALL WARDROBE MUST BE DIRECTOR APPROVED!

EVENING GOWN

  • Gowns must be floor length

  • Slits in dresses should raise no further than 5inches above the knee

  • Cutouts are not allowed

  • If dress has a train, it must be bustled (no more than 5 bustles)

  • Back of the gown cannot go below the natural waistline

  • Cannot have a plunging neckline.

 

Swimsuit

  • Must be a solid color

  • Should have a built-in bra for support

  • Should be long enough in the torso

  • Needs to completely cover the buttocks

  • Must not have a plunging neckline. In general, the neckline must end at least 1” above the bottom of the bust line

  • Must have a lining

  • The lower portion of the swimsuit must cover the hipbones in front

  • High-heeled taupe pumps or open-toed sandals must be worn with your swimsuit

  • Open-toe and strappy heels must have an ankle strap

  • No other undergarments or pantyhose are to be worn with the swimsuit

  • Back of the swimsuit cannot go below the natural waistline

  • Metallic accents are allowed

  • Small studs or hoop earrings are allowed (no other jewelry)

 

Interview Suit

  • Business suit (pants or skirt), jumpsuits (no sleeveless or one shoulder), or business dress (must have cap sleeve)

  • The length of the skirt or dress should be no shorter than the top of the knee

  • Pantyhose must be worn with the interview suit

  • Closed toe pumps must be worn with the suit

  • Jewelry may be worn with the suit but it should be minimal and reflect a professional appearance

  • Small stud or hoop earrings may be worn

 

DANCE OUTFIT

  • White dress or romper (no strapless)

  • Silver or colored heels (open or closed toed)

  • Earrings only-can be large pageant style

  • No necklaces or bracelets

Picture Day

  • White dress or romper (no strapless)

  • Nude heels (for group pic)

  • Earrings only-not large pageant earrings.

  • No necklaces or bracelets

Additional Info

  • Tattoos must be covered

  • Choose accessories carefully. They should enhance your look and not overwhelm you.
