Jr. Miss Guidelines

EVENING GOWNS:

  • Gowns can be either floor or tea length, or high-low  (shorter in front and longer in back) and need to be an age appropriate style

  • Splits in dresses should raise no further than 2 inches above the knee

  • Choose accessories carefully... They should enhance your look; not overwhelm you

  • Cutouts are not allowed

  • If the dress has a train, it must be bustled

  • The pageant directors must approve the gown

 

THEMED CASUAL OR ATHLETIC WEAR

  • Any type of themed casual or athletic wear of your choosing (example: soccer uniform, dance costume, 4-H cattle showing outfit, etc.)

  • Shorts, skirts and dresses must be no shorter than fingertip reach with arms straight down at sides

  • No crop tops or low-cut shirts

  • Props are allowed, so get creative! (example: ball, bat, pompoms, dance shoes, beach bag, cowboy hat, etc.)

 

INTERVIEW WEAR

  • Business or Church appropriate attire--skirt, dress, pantsuit, or jumpsuit

  • Skirt/Dress length should be no shorter than top of the knee

  • Pantyhose are recommended

  • Minimal jewelry may be worn and should reflect a professional appearance

  • Closed toe flats/small heels must be worn with interview attire

  • The pageant director must approve interview attire

 

PRODUCTION NUMBER OUTFIT

  • Black dressy shorts (no holes)

  • DISCO Themed T-Shirt Provided

  • Sparkly short heel

 

INDIVIDUAL & GROUP PICTURE OUTFIT

  • Black sundress or romper of your choosing 

  • No strapless dresses

  • No shorter than fingertip reach with arms straight down at sides

  • Flats or small-heels, either open or closed

  • Minimal, age-appropriate make-up and jewelry
